Overall Purpose of Job


We invite applications for this full-time, permanent role based in Clontarf, with occasional travel within Ireland.  The job holder reports to one of our Team Leads and plays an essential role in delivering excellent service to our over 2,000 colleagues across every county in Ireland.

The role will span Employee Relations, and the Wellbeing and DEI area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities


The overall aim of this role is to work with the HR team providing support, advice and insight to a key portfolio of internal work areas.  Your role will be in a dedicated HR area(s) and you will also have the opportunity to contribute to cross-functional projects as well as the delivery of broader HR objectives.

Your role will be to add value and apply the experience you have while also being open to learning and career growth opportunities as they arise. This role is not a first-time HR position or for somebody without direct and recent HR experience.

Some of the roles you may be involved in are as follows:

Employee Relations: provide a proactive, practical and usable approach to ER matters in line with employment legislation, HR policies and procedures; advise managers on best practice approaches, always seeking to maintain a positive work environment.

Wellbeing and DEI: develop a Wellbeing strategy to support our position as a strong, people-focused employer of choice. Built on our strong diverse and inclusive workplaces and develop new ways to enhance the employee experience with IWA.

Employee surveys and analysis -managing and supporting various employee-related surveys, analysing responses, preparing reports and insights based on the findings.

HR data management and Excel reporting- working on data improvement and record management, developing and maintaining Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards, analysing HR data and producing reports to support HR processes and decision-making.

Occupational Health management- managing OH referrals, liaising with employees and the Occupational Health provider, coordinating appointments and referrals, following up on reports and recommendations, and supporting the relevant HR processes.

Long-Term Absence management- supporting and managing LTA cases, maintaining oversight and records, liaising with employees and managers, coordinating OH referrals where required.

Probation management- monitoring probation periods, following up with managers and employees, ensuring reviews are completed and supporting the relevant HR processes and documentation.

ER invoicing and external providers- managing and coordinating ER-related invoices and liaising with external providers where required.

Policy development and review- reviewing, updating and amending HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with organisational requirements and current legislation.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Training, Experience and Qualifications


Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience working a busy HR Team either in a specialist or generalist role. (Essential)

QQI Level 8 qualification in HR (Essential)

QQI Level 9 qualification in a related HR discipline (Highly Desirable)

CIPD qualified or advanced in a course of study that achieves this qualification. (Essential)

Excellent computer skills

Experience in communication, influencing and persuasion skills, working well with colleagues to achieve consensus and agreement in challenging situations

Experience creating and administering Qualtrex surveys

Proven experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Remuneration & Benefits

Annual salary range – €34,672 to €52,939 – strictly based on demonstrated experience in your prior role
